When we bought this brave little house, peonies and some sort of oddball daffodil were just beginning to come up. We carefully dug them up for safekeeping and sure enouch, they’re back with us. The house was built in 1900 and I wouldn’t risk saying these are “original” but they’re beautiful and fragrant and I like to think of all the changes they might have seen in this neighborhood.
