Miss Babs Trunk Show Friday & Saturday

We had a very good question on Ravelry this morning:  What is a trunk show?

While there are varying degrees of Trunk Shows, here's what's happening this weekend for the Miss Babs Trunk Show:

This particular trunk show, we will have loads and loads of Miss Babs yarns here at the store.  Many of these yarns are only available through the Miss Babs website or at the various conventions/festivals she attends.  Some of the yarns will be ones that we carry here at the store but in colors that we may not have had here at the store before.  You'll also get to see items made up in the various yarns to inspire you.

The Miss Babs Trunk Show will begin on Friday July, 27 at 3:00 and we are staying open late, until 8:00, just for the occasion.  Saturday we are open our regular hours, 10:00-5:00. 





We hope that everyone is just as excited about diving into the piles of yarn and meeting Miss Babs as we are!

Yarn Amnesty Day Recap

Thanks to all those who donated!  We took in nearly 250 pounds of yarn! 

All the yarn found homes with knitters and crocheters who make things for charity programs.  Here are a few of our crafters who have already made some items for charity. Great work ladies!

Saturday is Yarn Amnesty Day!

Don't forget that Saturday 7/14 is Yarn Amnesty Day!!

Bring your clean unwanted yarn to be donated to local charities and schools. Receive $1.00 store credit for each pound donated. Yarn can be in any amount (partial skeins, partial projects, whole skeins) and in any fiber. We ask that it be clean and in useable condition. Needle and pattern donations gladly accepted.

July Yarns of the Month

Classic Elite Yarns Moorland & Premiere are July's Yarns of the Month.

Premiere is 50% pima cotton and 50% tencel - 108 yards to 50 grams.  We have this yarn in 9 colors. This yarn is super soft!!  Perfect yarn for summer items and baby items.

Moorland is 42% merino wool, 23% alpaca, 19% mohair, and 16% acrylic - 147 yards to 50 grams.  We have this yarn in 9 colors.  Great Fall yarn for accessories and sweaters!
