What exactly is a Yarn Tasting? A yarn tasting is a great way to sample yarns that you may not have worked with before with out a big investment. You'll get a taste of each yarn; enough to make a swatch with.
The yarns available at the tasting will be Crestone (100% wool), Vista (50% wool, 50% alpaca), Vail (70% alpaca, 30% bamboo), Sprout (100% organic cotton), La Gran (78.4% mohair, 17.3% wool, 4.3% nylon), Montera (50% llama, 50% wool) and Woodland (65% wool, 35% nettles).
Also, keep an eye out, we'll be starting our Knit Happy Club at the end of October. More details coming soon!

A Pi To Die For!
Join us every other Friday beginning August 26th from 3:00-5:00 for our Pi Shawl knit along. We'll be making Elizabeth Zimmerman's July Pi Shawl from the Knitter's Almanac (available here at the shop).
We've already seen a few folks who couldn't wait for the Pi to cool on the windowsill and be ready for everyone and just had to go and stick their fingers in it. HeHeHe! Some folks are ready for their second helping of Pi!
We've heard tales of blackberry pi, strawberry pi, pumpkin pi, and even Elephant pi!
What kind of Pi do you want to make??
Pi shawls can be basic stockinette or made in the most complex lace pattern you could dream up. The Pi's the Limit!
